I loved it! A must-see for my sisters, mom, and friends!
The show captures the heartwarming — and at times wrenching — pathos of this thing we call motherhood. We had a wonderful time!
The show is about the ups and downs of motherhood; what binds mothers together, not what sets them apart ... edgy, funny, and true.

'The Best of The MOMologues' recently played an encore performance as a fundraiser for the Scituate Education Alliance.

The MOMologues was conceived by director and writer Lisa Rafferty, who searched in vain for a play that offered an honest, funny look at motherhood. Lisa teamed up with fellow moms Stefanie Cloutier and Sheila Eppolito to write a show based on stories and experiences from the trenches of raising eight children among them. The result: a one-act play that followed four women through the first chapters of motherhood – attempts at conception, pregnancy, labor and delivery, and adjusting to life with a newborn.

The play was presented to packed houses at Eliot Hall near Boston. The audience – loaded with moms – loved it, howling with appreciation.

Buoyed by their early success, the playwrights expanded their one-act play into a full-length show, including a wide range of universal mom situations like gender differences, the Tooth Fairy, picky eaters, discipline, kids peeing in the playground and all the rest of the real-life comedy that is motherhood.

The full-length version of The MOMologues premiered at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, becoming an immediate sold-out success and prompting a return engagement the following year.
Next came a benefit performance at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth, NH and a sold-out show at the famed Palace Theater in Manchester, NH. Creators then brought The MOMologues to Boston's Theater District, where it enjoyed a five-week run at the Stuart Street Playhouse/Second Stage, and three road trip performances in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Fulfilling the vocal wishes of throngs of moms wanting a look at the next phase of motherhood, creators penned MOMologues 2: Off to School, and performed to delighted moms – and dads – at the Regent Theater in Arlington, MA, the Company Theatre in Norwell and the Palace Theatre in New Hampshire. The second show's emphasis is on the second 'trimester' of motherhood's gestational hilarity, covering the dark depths of....elementary school!

Professional CBS daytime drama stars Liz Keifer and Martha Byrne joined professional actors Janet Aldrich and Jennifer Giles (a former Rockette) for a staged reading to benefit The Valerie Fund, a nonprofit organization that supports children with cancer and other diseases in the New York/New Jersey area.
A stand out cast of Broadway actresses presented The MOMologues as a part of a staged reading to benefit for the Susan G Komen for the Cure. Directed by and featuring Michelle Pawk, the production also starred Liz Larsen, Sandy Rustin and Ann Harada (not pictured).
The evening was electric, the audience enjoyed laughing and crying as they journeyed through the stages of motherhood with the talented actresses. The MOMologues touches everyone: new mothers, experienced mothers, daughters, and grandmothers.
Hilarious things that mothers say and think ... Anyone who is, was, or had a mother will recognize these lines... A hit for the generations!
This show was hilarious! A great release — and relief — for all moms!
